Terms of Service

BestStudentHousing is a free directory and matching service that helps students find off-campus housing and connects them with landlords. We are a matchmaker — we are not a party to any lease, rental agreement, or transaction between students and landlords, and we do not own, manage, or inspect the properties listed.

The service is free for students. We never collect deposits, rent, or payments through the platform. Any deposit, rent, or agreement is arranged directly between you and the landlord.

• Provide accurate information in your housing request or listings.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes; do not submit spam, false listings, or automated requests.
• You are responsible for verifying any landlord, property, or lease before entering into an agreement or making any payment.

If you list a property, you represent that you have the right to offer it and that your listing is accurate and lawful. You are responsible for your communications with, and obligations to, prospective tenants. We may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

The service may include links to third-party services, some of which are affiliate links from which we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, quality, or safety of any listing, landlord, or student. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or from any dealings between students and landlords.

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable state in which the service operates.
